As an Army Wife, I moved house 19 times in 23 years both in the UK and abroad, so I knew that balancing family life and the demands of my husband’s service meant that a regular full time job with a pension was not going to happen.

From buying my first investment property in 1999, it has been quite the journey!

The overall upwards trajectory has taken me beyond what I had ever first envisioned, however there were certainly problems encountered on the way. And while I won't be repeating my mistakes, they were all a part of my learning process.

I did one of the first 'big boy' property learning programmes back in 2007ish - I loved meeting other property enthusiasts (in those days, there weren't really property networking events like today!) and learning the very many different business models for making money in property.

However, success is all in the action, follow-through and detail. This is best achieved through

• applying your learning to your situation
• implementing sound business practices (an often-overlooked yet essential part traditional courses). 
• setting clear, actionable and achievable goals (quarterly, yearly & 5-yearly)
